Payment & Insurance

Insurance

We accept most major insurance plans.

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is pre-approval required from my insurance carrier or my primary care physician?
  • Is the therapist I would like to see an “in-network provider” with my plan?

As most insurance carriers offer a multitude of plans with a wide variety of benefits and restrictions, we ask that you contract your individual carrier directly. Most insurance companies list their customer service phone number on the back of their insurance card or publish it on their website.

Out-of-Network
If you find that you would like to meet with a therapist who is not an “In-Network Provider” with your insurance carrier, you are not restricted from still meeting with that clinician. Please contact your insurance carrier as although out-of-network benefits allow you to seek health care from any qualified, licensed provider; you may have a separate deductible or may incur higher out-of-pocket expenses.

Self-Pay
Many clients prefer to pay for their therapy personally. Private paying clients are not restricted to an insurance companies’ restrictions regarding the therapist they choose, or the number of sessions allowed. Some clients find that paying for therapy themselves is easier and gives them more control over how their information is shared. If you decide to pay for your sessions personally but would still like to submit claims to your insurance carrier for reimbursement, I will be happy to provide you with the proper receipts (super-bills).

Cancellation Policy
A 24-hour notice is required when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. This will allow us to schedule the time for someone else. There will be a $75.00 charge for missed appointments or late scheduling changes. This fee is not covered by insurance.

Payment
Cash, check, HSA’s, bank debit, and all major credit cards are accepted for payment. Fees for co-pays, deductibles, or private pay sessions are payable at the beginning of each session.

Telephone Calls

(first 5 minutes are free, any 15 minute portion thereafter) $ 35.00
